I had a lot of things to say about this cookie (namely how much TIME it took) but I decided that no one really wants to start their Mondays with whining.

This one is for my friend, with whom I bonded instantly in 2003, and the years that followed have been filled with laughs, love, and insanity.

Hello Kitty + Russian doll = totally, totally you!

Wow, what a beautiful cookie! I absolutely love how you merged Hello Kitty with the Russian Doll!!

  2. Wow, this is amazingly detailed and how beautiful cookie it is, I bet it would be hard to eat it, I feel like framing it! How long did it take to make it? I hope your friend was touched, I am.

Thank you Pam for such a kind comment! It took two days I think, and lots of trials. But it was well worth the effort. My friend (who grew up in Russia when she was young before she came to California) just recently got engaged, so this one was for her :)

      Hi Kate,
Thank you!! I can’t say that I didn’t utter a few “UGH i’m so OVER this cookie!!” a few times while trying to make this one work

    Hi!
I am originally from Russia, but I live in Witchita, Kansas. This is historically inaccurate, and my babushka thinks it would be much more beautiful with some glittery buttons.
I’m going to go eat some piroshki for my lunch.

    Thank you,
    Raskolnikov

Hello! Thanks for stopping by the blog! I actually modeled this cookie after a little keychain I have of HK, but if I ever make another Russian Doll cookie I will do a “historically accurate” one! thanks for the idea ;)
